Nikki Davidson

"I was born and raised on the beaches of Southern California. Life for me was either in the ocean, on the ocean or about the the ocean. So imagine my surprise when at age 55 I moved to Georgia with my family, four horses, dogs, cats and paint brushes in tow.
Paintings of rocky shores, sailboats and crashing waves eventually gave way and were replaced by the majestic scenery and southern life style of the South. The landscape in Georgia is so luscious and no matter what direction you turn, there is a painting waiting to happen."
Nikki received her teaching certificate in fine art from The California Community Colleges in 1973 and has been teaching drawing and painting for more than 35 years. Currently she teaches at her Thunder Ridge Studio in Dallas Georgia. She is a member of the North Georgia Art Association, North Cobb Art League, the Booth Artist Guild and President of the Artist Guild of Northwest Georgia.
Her work has been accepted at both National and local juried competitions through which she has received numerous top honors. Nikki has also served as a juror for juried competitions as well as being asked to help in the jurying process for the Governor's Honors Program.
While Nikki teaches and competes in multiple medias, her primary medium is oil. Currently Nikki is focusing on painting the history and culture of Native Americans and has had work exhibited at the Booth Western Art Museum, Marietta Cobb Museum of Art and Lake City Gallery in Acworth Ga.
