Bill Rudrow

Born in Collingswood, New Jersey and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Bill developed an early passion for drawing and, to his Mother’s chagrin, on any surface.  His proclivity at the young age of ten found further impetus when he was awarded a three year scholarship to The Delaware Art Center.

It was then that he determined he would pursue a professional art career.  At 16, he sought and received summer employment as an apprentice artist in a small graphic arts studio.  He was taught, guided, trained and encouraged by professionals in a multitude of artistic disciplines over the next 6 years of school and college, resulting in the local reference to him as a ‘Jack of All Trades’.

After college graduation and two years in the Army, he thought it was time to go to New York, find a job in an art studio, take classes at the Art Students League and The Pan-American Art School, become an Art Director for that studio, then take off and free-lance as an illustrator / designer.

It was a pastel rendering of a simple yellow rose for an Avon products brochure cover which lead into many years of diversified illustration and package design work for Avon and ten other major cosmetic companies, along with the more technically-oriented art for Popular Mechanics, Mechanix Illustrated, and Reader’s Digest Books.

Mr. Rudrow lives in Dawsonville Georgia, and you can see his recent works in portraits, fine art, and technical /fantasy illustrations on his website
